Dear Sheriff Ward,

My Family is behind you 110%.

He totally screwed up the refuge situation and got a man killed.

Sheriff Ward is in over his head. Not a good job for OJT (on the job training)...

I am sorry that your town is dealing with these dangerous people. I will say that I love both archaeology and wildlife. Now that I have learned about this place, you have gained another tourist. God bless!

Thank you for doing your moral, legal, and constitutional duty under very difficult circumstances. Countless Americans, most of whom you will never hear from, have watched and applauded your quiet courage. I am one of them.

Not an honorable man...

These hard times will pass. Stay strong.

The Harney county community and you should be proud of the way you are showing what it takes to get though a really ruff patch, we are proud of you all.

Thank you all for your honorable service.

I would like to thank the Harney County Sherriffs Office for standing with other Law Enforcement Agencies against the militant take-over of federal lands. We are a Country of Laws and we need to resist to the fullest the criminal attempt to rest control of our public lands away from the public. Five Stars.

We may not all agree but there are safe ways of solving our differences.

A few years ago I walked across Harney County while hiking the Desert Trail: over the Pueblo Mountains, over Steens Mountain, across the Malheur Refuge and the Malheur Forest. I was welcomed by everyone: ranchers, law enforcement, land managers, business owners, citizens. That is the Harney County that I remember, a practical, sensible, respectful county, devoid of outsiders rushing in, looking for a fight. I appreciate your efforts to maintain calm and the rule of law and the rights of everyone.
